Happy Canadian Thanksgiving everyone!! It is super weird to be celebrating Thanksgiving in October but it works!! This week was so great with general conference!! Espeicaly when the prophet gave a shout out to Winnipeg! Not sure if anyone else caught that but we were all pretty excited here. I loved every second of general conference!! It's a shame it is already over. But now we have lots of work to do for the next one!! I especially loved the women's session. I felt like there was a theme among the sister speakers about giving unselfish service and sacrificing for the Lord. I also loved Elder Rasband's talk about putting our fears aside and doing the work that needs to be done. I am excited to "Look to the future with enthusiasn." As President Nelson would say!! Lots of exciting changes that I think will really help us to gather israel and prepare for the second coming.
Other than general conference we had some other exciting things happen this week...
We did a youth activity and it was so much fun!! I love the youth of the ward. They are the secret to missionary work!
We also started teaching a girl named Bella. She requested a bible online a little bit ago and we were having a hard time getting in contact with her. One day we felt inspired to stop by and she was home and let us in!! Turns out she went to the Church in Australia when she was younger and she remembered some of the primary songs. She is excited to learn more and come to church again. We are excited as well. And very grateful for this wonderful miracle!!
I had to go to court this week to try and get my speeding ticket reduced. I was pretty stressed out the whole time but it turned out to be a very happy ending!! The judge was very merciful and I only had to pay $100 instead of over $600.. So I am very grateful for that miracle!! It was a very good lesson to not speed!! I am much more cautious now:)
